Councilman David A. Salvatore (Ward 14) today delivered a letter to the Rhode Island Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education expressing his support for the preliminary application by Achievement First to open charter schools in Rhode Island.

The Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) has hired Insituform Technologies to complete sewer line enhancement services on Branch Avenue.

In a letter sent today to the Board of Regents, Providence City Council President Michael Solomon suggested locating the proposed Achievement First Mayoral Academy schools in Providence rather than in Cranston.

A wake for Providence City Councilman Miguel C. Luna will be held on Sunday, August 21, from 6PM to 9PM at Bell Funeral Home, 571 Broad Street, Providence, RI, 02907.
