Here you will find information about the activities and initiatives of the legislative branch of Providence’s government. From Council meetings to neighborhood meetings, the members of the City Council are committed to taking action to improve the quality of life for every Providence resident.

At its first meeting on Monday, November 14th, the Providence City Council Subcommittee on Pension Sustainability elected its leadership, and reviewed four pension reform ordinances introduced last month.

The Providence City Council Subcommittee on Pension Sustainability will hold its first meeting at 5:30 pm.

Ward 14 Councilman says City Council must have vote to approve conversion of PEDP loans to grants.

The Providence City Council’s Committee on Ward Boundaries held its first meeting on September 26th and has begun the process of bringing the city’s electoral map in line with the most recent demographic data.
