Commission is seeking public comment as part of its study of Providence’s tax base
The Commission to Study Tax Exempt Institutions announced today that it will hold a public hearing at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 28th at City Hall. The commission, which was established last fall, is seeking feedback from the public on the many issues surrounding the impact of tax exempts in Providence.
Councilwoman Josephine DiRuzzo announced the Ward 15 Annual Septemberfest will take place this Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Strict Limits on Spending In Effect Until Budget Passed
Finance Chairman John J. Igliozzi (Ward 7) this week informed all City department directors that their departments are currently level-funded, and that they must adhere to the spending limits outlined in the Providence Home Rule Charter.
